Aerodynamics:

Feature:   Attitude Sensitive Braking (ASB)

Advantage:  Versus planes that use “Flat Plate” air brakes which make a plane feel heavy in KE flight, ASB reduce braking during KE flight.  By their design, the air brakes on the “Arrow” create less drag while in KE as compared to other orientations.

Benefit:  Much easier to KE without the need for radical throttle adjustment.

FeatureAir Brake Assisted Roll Authority (ABARA)

Advantage:  Versus Air Brakes that just generate turbulence or direct turbulence toward tail feathers ABARA devices direct increased airflow over wing tip improving aileron authority.

Benefit:  Point rolls are crisp and the roll rate is amazing.

FeatureDucted Prop Thrust

Advantage:  Due to placement, size and design of cabanes, prop thrust is captured and directed to improve performance.  Cabanes seal to ailerons to capture prop thrust and dramatically enhance slow speed aileron authority.

Benefit:  You planes aileron authority will be predictable and precise at all speeds.

Feature: 100% Stabilized Control Surfaces

Advantage:  Many aircraft tend to over use counter balanced control surfaces resulting in jerky flight characteristics.  There is a reason they call the surface in front of a control surface a stabilizer.  The “Arrow” has full stabilizers in front of all control surfaces, resulting in precise flight, control surface stiffness and increased durability, while maintaining amazing 3D performance.

Benefit:  By its design it just flies better than most airplanes.

Feature:  Prop thrust flows over both sides of each wing.

Advantage:  Most bi-planes only provide thrust between the wings.

Benefit:  Improved Aileron authority at low speed and low engine rpm.

Feature: Light Wing Loading (1.9 oz / square foot)

Advantage:   Wing loading is less than half of most sport foamies and competitive with other F3P aircraft.

Benefit:  Flies slower resulting in more precision and less destructive impacts.

Feature: Light Weight Side Force Loading (less than 3 oz / square foot)

Advantage: Side force loading is amazingly light during Knife Edge Flight (KE).

Benefit: Transitions into KE flight with precision and fly slowly in KE flight.

Feature:  Total of 8 Air Brake Surfaces / Top and Bottom Of Each Wing

Advantage:  Versus planes without airbrakes you will gain gentle down lines

                   & governed throttle response.

Benefit:  Much easier to perform complex maneuvers.

Feature:  Capture and Dampening Of Rotational Prop Thrust

Advantage:  The fuselages on many planes have cut outs and tapers that allow rotational prop thrust to hit the tail feathers.  The “Arrow” fuse is tall front to back and wings have full contact creating full baffling of air     transitioning to the tail.

Benefit:  You will instantly feel the comfort and lock which create the “Arrow” touch.

Engineering / Design:

FeatureCompressed Carbon Technology (CCT) Kevlar thread and carbon bar support of the fuselage.

Advantage:  Much stronger and lighter than the foam only construction of others.

Benefit:  You can have it all! A plane that is tough, light and a precision flier.

FeatureCarbon / Depron Integration

Advantage:  Integration of Carbon / Kevlar creates stiffness unparalleled by others.

Benefit:  Flight is more precise, and air frame is more durable.

Feature: Control Wedge Technology (with heat shrink connections)

Advantage:  “Z bent wire” and control horns are heavy, weak and induce slop into most flight surface control systems.

Benefit: Control Wedge Technology is lighter weight, stronger and more precise for unparalleled precision.

FeaturePrecision Laser Execution

Advantage: Laser technology allows BudgetRC to offer a precision cut aircraft at a extremely competitive price.  Lasers allow manufacturing to be fast and cost effective while maintaining unparallel precision and eliminating edge fraying.

Benefit: You get an easy to build kit, at a price you can afford.

Feature: Center of Gravity (CG) / Center of Pressure (CP) separation.

Advantage:  Through specific design features, the “Arrow” has unparalleled CG / CP separation.   (Sorry for the briefness, but I could write a dissertation on  this subject.)

Benefit: The “Arrow” will track like a world class pattern plane while maintaining the  ability to do amazing 3D.

Feature:  Centralized placement of all electronics.

Advantage:  Allows builders to take advantage of super light servos with short leads.

Benefit:  Allows for light components which are a significant portion of total weight.

Feature:  Integrated landing gear.

Advantage:  Landing gear is tied to structural frame work rather than floating in foam.

Benefit:  Keep flying while others are repairing landing gear.

Feature:  Large but light weight wheels (.5 grams each).

Advantage: Land at the local playground while others are limited to smooth surfaces.

Benefit:  More flying location options.

Feature:  Centralize battery location.

Advantage:  Centralized rather than being placed in the nose of the plane.

Benefit:  Use a range of battery sizes with little effect to Center of Gravity.

Feature:  Side to Side CG balance

Advantage:  Balanced with battery on one side, electronics and control rods on other.

Benefit:  Helps “lock in” the plane in all flight attitudes.

Feature:  Top to Bottom CG balance

Advantage:  Balanced with top mounted Aileron Servo balances out weight of landing gear.

Benefit: Helps “lock in” the plane in all flight attitudes.

Feature:  Front to Back CG balance

Advantage:  Light weight aft section helps maintain fore / aft balance.

Benefit:  No need for awkward placement of components to achieve fore / aft balance.

Feature:  Swept Wing Cross Bracing.

Advantage:  Provides bi-directional support of wing with one set of cross braces.

Benefit:  Lighter weight and stiffness is a design benefit of this feature.

Feature:  Control Wedges and Control Rods Included With Kit

Advantage:  Reduces number of accessories you are required to purchase.

Benefit:  You get better control with less cost.

Feature:  Integrated Foam Control Rod Guides

Advantage:  Many plane use heavy control rods or make shift control guides.  BudgetRC has laser cut, precision guides that tab to the fuselage for perfect alignment and light weight.

Benefit:  Control system is tight, light and right on every time.  The “Arrow” is  relatively easy to build and a joy to fly.

Feature: Aileron Stiffening Bar

Advantage:  Many planes are too flexible and lack adequate support adjacent to aileron  control horns.  We integrate a wing stiffener adjacent to the aileron  control wedges which improve control and durability.

Benefit:  Just another component of the locked in feel of an “Arrow” and its amazing .

Feature:  Beautiful and Simple Graphics

Advantage:  Screen Printing offers the ability to provide bold rich color at a reasonable price.   The graphics design team at BudgetRC delivered an amazing  graphic that is striking in appearance, simple in design, creates obvious inverted versus upright flight visual differential, all very little weight increase.

Benefit: You get a beautiful, functional and light weight plane.
