Basic simple rules for Backyard Combat
For backyard or park style combat our rules are simple. To make a streamer you will need to cut a standard roll of crepe paper (about 2 inches wide) (dollar store item) and cut it in half to make 2 roles of 1 inch streamer. We carefully use a band saw; scissors would be the long way to go but it would work. Use two opposing colors like black and white. Cut one 5 foot long streamer in each color. Tape them together. You should have a 10 foot streamer with two colors. Poke a hole in the rudder and tie a string in a loop. Now tie the streamer to the string. The reason for a two color streamer is to gain points by clipping the opponents end color. If you cut the front color of your opponent, he is out. The two color point system adds more fun. The fight ends when your front color is cut or the 2 to 5min (you decide) timer runs out.
