Hinges on Foam Models
It is very easy to hinge control surfaces on foam models. We will show you the tape method. Using a sanding block and a flat surface, bevel one edge like the picture. Clear packaging tape or medical tape is placed on the top flat surface first, leave about a credit card's width between the two surfaces. Tape is then placed on the bottom. You can bend the hinge up before placing the bottom tape in place. The tape should come together in the middle to make the hinge. Yes, paint will come off if you keep re-doing this process.
